FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH We focus on bottom-up, fundamental research and valuation. Stock selection is our key performance driver.
QUALITY/VALUE/TIME HORIZON We identify companies possessing a blend of good business models and attractive valuation, and prefer to own these companies for long periods of time.
DIVERSIFICATION We believe our portfolio strikes an ideal balance between diversification and concentration. Holding 60-70 stocks allows each company to contribute meaningfully to performance, while portfolio construction provides for consistency of returns over time.
RISK We think of risk in terms of the potential for permanent loss of capital. We manage this risk through analyzing and monitoring our portfolio on a company-by-company basis.
PATIENCE We believe our approach will be successful over the long run, but recognize it may fall out of favor from time to time. We are committed to the consistent execution of this philosophy and will not waver in reaction to short-term market trends.
